What is hoovering??

Hoovering is when a narcissist attempts to worm their way back into your life after the discard, break-up, or maybe after they have ghosted their target over a period of time. During the holiday season, narcissists may hoover in several strategic ways to lure you back into their sphere of control.

Why Do Narcissists Hoover?

Hoovering is done to regain control over you & so that you never let your guard down regardless of how much time has passed. The monitoring and hoovering starts when they are low on supply, are bored, or want something from you like time, attention, validation, money, etc. Narcissists are empty, vapid voids so they must surround themselves with external things and people who validate their false selves at all times. Being alone and with themselves is too much to face. They also want to finish what they started which includes siphoning all your time, spirit, and resources.
