Red Flags In Relationships!
Narcissistic relationships can be emotionally abusive and harmful to one’s mental health. Here are some red flags to look out for in a narcissistic relationship:
- Love-bombing: A narcissist may shower you with affection and attention in the beginning of the relationship, but this can be a tactic to manipulate and control you.
- Gaslighting: A narcissist may deny your reality, making you question your own memory and perception of events.
- Blame-shifting: A narcissist may blame you for their mistakes or problems in the relationship, refusing to take responsibility for their actions.
- Manipulation: A narcissist may use emotional manipulation to control and coerce you into doing what they want.
- Lack of empathy: A narcissist may have difficulty understanding or caring about your feelings and needs.
- Controlling behavior: A narcissist may try to control who you spend time with, what you wear, or where you go.
- Criticism and insults: A narcissist may belittle and criticize you, undermining your self-esteem and making you feel unworthy.
- Anger and aggression: A narcissist may become angry or aggressive when their needs are not met or when they feel threatened.
- Boundary violations: A narcissist may ignore or violate your boundaries, not respecting your personal space or privacy.
- Entitlement: A narcissist may feel entitled to your time, attention, and affection, and may become angry or resentful if they don’t get what they want.
If you are experiencing any of these red flags in your relationship, it is important to seek support from friends, family, or a therapist or Chain Breaker University. Consider ending the relationship if it is emotionally abusive or harmful to your well-being. Yes, even IF it is family!

Narcissists & Cognitive Dissonance
Cognitive dissonance is a psychological term used to describe the discomfort or tension that arises from holding two or more conflicting beliefs, values, or attitudes. It is the feeling of mental discomfort that occurs when a person’s beliefs, attitudes, or behaviors are inconsistent with one another. When a victim of abuse believes that abuse is wrong but stays in abusive situations. They may experience cognitive dissonance because their belief and behavior are not aligned, and they may try to reduce the dissonance by changing their beliefs, compromising their sanity, or finding other ways to rationalize the abuser’s behavior.A Double-Minded Man Is Unstable In All Thy Ways…Check out: Separating Your Feelings & Emotions From The Narcissists

Fighting With A Narcissist Is A Losing Battle!
One of the main reasons that fighting with a narcissist can feel like a losing battle is because they are likely to see any disagreement or criticism as a threat to their sense of self. They can become defensive, angry, or even aggressive in response to any perceived attack on their ego.
Additionally, narcissists often have a tendency to manipulate and control others in order to maintain their sense of power and superiority. They may use gaslighting, projection or other tactics to deflect blame or to make you doubt your own perceptions and experiences.
While it can be tempting to try to engage with a narcissist in an argument or debate, it is important to remember that this is unlikely to be a productive or satisfying experience. Instead, it may be more effective to focus on setting boundaries and taking care of your own well-being. This might involve limiting your contact with the narcissist, seeking support from friends or a therapist, and learning to recognize and respond to their manipulative tactics in a way that protects your own emotional and mental health.
Let’s break those chains.

Join Host G. Renee and panel guests Shannon, Jacqueline, Faizah, & Dorothy.Share with someone you suspect is suffering in silence from narcissistic, verbal or physical, or sexual abuse from a church leader or spouse in the church. Their spouse may be charismatic at church, but a devil behind closed doors. We want to help break the stigma of abuse in the 4-wall church.
